Basic Operation

The base unit offers manual control by making use of easy-to-grab Encoders to set the Intensity (DIM %), Color Temperature (Kelvin) plus access to Fixture Settings.

Manual Control

Out of the box the Astra IP is designed to be operational right away through Manual Control.  Plug it into power, turn the unit on via the rocker switch on the bottom of the unit.

You are greeted with the Main Display which defaults to Manual Control if no Comms Select input is already active.

Your Configurations & Settings can be stored to a thumb drive via the USB-C port. This port is also used for firmware updates.

Native Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi connectivity is built into the Astra IP that is 802.11b/g/n compatible. This allows the fixture to be connected to most wireless networks and receive control input such as Art-Net and sACN from a lighting control source over Wi-Fi.

Native Bluetooth

Bluetooth v4 and Bluetooth LE connectivity are built into the Astra IP series of fixtures for use with apps such as Blackout Lighting Console, Stage Lights or Luminair on a compatible tablet or phone device (i.e. Android or iOS).

Comms Module Expansion

The Expansion port is where you can plug in an optional Comms Module to expand your input control options.

The DMX Comms Module provides both RJ45 and 5-pin XLR DMX I/O for wired DMX512-A connections.

The DMX Comms Plus provides additional connectivity along side wired DMX input. This includes Wireless CRMX, Lumenradio BLE and RJ45 Ethernet I/O for sACN and Art-Net over a wired network.
